And the United States is just getting acquainted with him.
About two years ago, Tatsumi. released his first graphic novel in the United States. His books, which contain minimal words and are somewhat simplistic in artwork, offer an insight into a post-war Japan, where men struggle with identity, the self, and their responsibilities to family and society.
